CHARITY FRIDAY!!!

 Good Morning?

It is Friday, 29th November 2024, the last Friday of the month and the second last day of the month.

Today, we are encouraged to take care of others by the works of charity. That is: caring for the sick, visiting the imprisoned, feeding the hungry, giving water to the thirsty, clothing the naked and taking care of the abandoned. Do these and rest assured, you'll be welcomed to the kingdom of God.

As we come to the end of the week as well as the month, we remind you of the coming vocation(come and see) camp of the Salesians of Don Bosco. It will be at Bosco Boys Langata from 13th to 19th December 2024. If God is calling you to be a Salesian Priest or brother and serve Him through the youth at home and abroad, feel free to come with more friends. 

Blessed weekend beloved. Enjoy it to the max. And may the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus.

Today I want to encourage you about forgiveness. We're human beings and we all make mistakes. So, if someone wronged you or your family, either by word or action or not doing what is expected, please find a place in your heart to forgive them. Man is to error. And if you wronged someone, go and ask for forgiveness. Do not let ego ruin a good relationship. Be accountable for your actions. When you forgive, our Father in Heaven will also forgive you. 

As we come closer to the end of the week and the month of November, we ask for God's blessings. Financially, physically, your health, your age, your happiness and your peace. May God grant us what we need and ask for. Don Bosco Youth Educational Services-DBYES, wishes you a blessed and wonderful day. Be good and do good, always forgiving each other.

SAFETY WEDNESDAY!!!

It is Wednesday the 27th of October 2024. And we talk about being safe.

This being a chilly morning, make sure you put on heavy clothes. Prevention is better then cure, so take care of yourself. When it is raining, avoid walking in the rain due to possible lightening or thunder strikes, and also electric shocks from naked wires. When it is night time, go home early to avoid being robbed and attacked. When you have no business in the streets, please stay at home, pray and work out. Be safe.

Remember the ongoing November-December holiday training at Don Bosco Youth Educational Services-DBYES. There are also two important incoming activities: Salesian Youth Movement(SYM) that will be done in Don Bosco Embu, and the Salesians of Don Bosco Vocation(come and see) Camp that will be done at Bosco Boys' Nairobi. Continue inviting and bringing other children and youth at Don Bosco Youth Educational Services-DBYES, for the holiday training. This helps them to avoid being idle and engaging in nasty behaviors like drug abuse, fornication and theft. Welcome all to DBYES, a youth friendly center.

It is Tuesday, November 5th 2024, and today we continue with the holiday training together with the DB-TECH team having their meeting at Don Bosco Youth Educational Services-DBYES. It is a wonderful experience for the children and their parents, and to the guests (DB-TECH), being at DBYES.

Welcome beloved. Come and work with the young people. This is the mission that Don Bosco gave us. Vationa activities have started which is include and not limited to media training, guitar classes, soap making, basketball taining, painting.

We are grateful to the almighty God for the good month of October. Let us pray for a blessed new month of November. That love, peace and unity may prevail. I hope you all overcome what makes you cry, what broke you, what makes you drink alcohol and use drugs. "Weeping may endure through the night, but joy comes in the morning."  Let the new month of November bring you joy.

TUESDAY BLESSINGS!!!

 It is Tuesday, October 29th,2024. Today we have DB-DON guests finishing their three-day seminar at the Don Bosco Youth Educational Services-DBYES. Their recollection has made them learn, enjoy and spend time at DBYES joyfully, led by Fr. Sahaya G. Selvam, a Salesian of Don Bosco.

In the blink of an eye, everything can change. So forgive often and love with all your heart. As the gospel says, "The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest."

It is Monday the 28th of October 2024. A brand new week. I hope you had a refreshing weekend.

Last week we had students from The University of Nairobi, Kisii University, Egerton University and Kenyatta University. They spent the whole week at Don Bosco Youth Educational Services-DBYES, learning, refreshing themselves, singing in choirs and praying together.

We also took them to the Resurrection Garden where they had a good spiritual experience. They were accompanied by two priests and a brother from the congregation of St John the evangelist.

TRAINING ON PROFESSIONAL DOCUMENTATION

WORK NEATLY

Our able team from Girl Code rendered their service by training our Media students on Professional Documentation and specifically how to use Power Point Presentation Programme. This programme is very useful when doing presentations in class, conferences and any other gathering. It gives a systematic and neat work. Try it out and you will love it.

AT LAST THE DAY CAME

The long-awaited day for the screening of films created by youth from all over the world, DBGYFF 2024, finally arrived. Starting from 2 PM, young people gathered to actively participate in the film screenings. The event was an eye-opener for many of the attendees.

As the films played, refreshments were served, and the audience was delighted to witness the creativity of young filmmakers from across the globe.

The Director of Bosco Eastern Africa Multimedia Services - BEAMS, Fr. Isaac Maina, encouraged the youth to come up with content that will support the youth to earn a living. Opportunities are many. It is left to the youth to grab all the available opportunities. 

Speaking at the event, the Chief guest, the Rector of Don Bosco Youth Educational Services, Fr. Zobinou Komlan, encouraged the youth to embrace their creativity and produce content that addresses the issues affecting them. He urged them to create lasting content that would be remembered and contribute to a long-lasting legacy.
